Features of Ukrainian violin performance pedagogy in the second half of the 20th century.
Abstract
The article deals with the features of Ukrainian violin performance pedagogy of the second half of the 20th century. The powerful development of the violin performance in 1960-1970s had great methodological and pedagogical framework for teaching violin playing, which was widely used by musicians-teachers. In general violin pedagogy of the second half of the 20th century stimulates the increase of scientific reflection level. It was revealed in the fundamental works by Y. Yankelevich, O. Yuriev, O. Shulpiakov. It has to be said that during a mentioned above period of time a high level of musicians-violinists’ preparation contributed to a rapid professional growth of violin art in the following decades.
In general, the problems of violin performance technique are largely connected with a lack of national generalizing and theoretical literature on this issue. Monographs on the history of Ukrainian music and works of different composers reveal the ways of instrumental works development, including the violin concert of 1960-1980s. Information on new models of the violin art of the mentioned above period is given in the festival reviews, critical articles and reviews on the author’s concerts, but in fact there is no pedagogical and methodological literature on the improvement of the violin performance technique.Downloads
