Introduction to spiritual values as a means of harmonization of junior schoolchildren’s spiritual and moral development.

Abstract

The article deals with the search for ways of spiritual and moral development through the introduction of junior schoolchildren to the spiritual values as a means of harmonizing the individual. There is offered theoretical understanding and solution of social and educational problems of personality development in terms of environment harmonization and modernization of contemporary Ukrainian education system. It is noted that the process of effective spiritual and moral education of junior schoolchildren is provided by introduction to the spiritual values as the main means of harmonization of junior schoolchildren’s spiritual and moral development. Primary school age is the most favorable, or sensitive period in imparting spiritual values to the child. An essential part of moral convictions is formed at this age and stay with the person for life. Harmonization is closely linked to moral education as beauty is a kind of human relations regulator. The child harmonically develops not in spontaneous but deliberate, consistent, pedagogically thought-out conditions. Only a holistic system of education is able to ensure the harmonious development of each schoolchild’s  personality.
