Memory as a factor of formation of translators’ professional cognitive abilities.

Abstract

The author expresses the idea that the formation of professional cognitive abilities of translators not being innate, but an acquired system of conscious mental actions to remembering (perception, processing, preservation) and using of information is a prerequisite for successful translation. The experimentally proved directions of the investigated phenomenon development which are based on outgoing provisions of psycho-pedagogical science regarding the influence on the functioning of the sensory register, short-term and long-term memory, are shown in the article. The obtained results of the investigation can serve as a basis for further search for effective methods and techniques of development of translators’ professional cognitive abilities in the aspects of using of voluntary and involuntary memory and avoidance the phenomenon of interference.
