Abstract

The article describes the tendencies of creating and functioning of European Educational Area, learns and generalizes certain thoughts by both, Ukrainian and foreign scientists and scholars related to the notions “professional education” and “personal professionalization”, and also defines the ways to efficiently organize educational process aiming to train a true professional. The author treats the phenomenon of professional education as the process and the result of step-by-step, continuing education, training, and socialization of a personality with the purpose of training and developing her basic professional competences and preparing one to actively participate in social, industrial, economic and cultural life of one’s society. Furthermore, the article raises the question of developing and updating the system of professional education in Ukraine with its basic constituent, namely, on-going education of a future professional and provides the ways of how to correctly organize the system to make it function perfectly. Another essential point is the treatment of the notion of professional competence and professional mobility as natural characteristic features of a person having obtained a diploma. All in all, the author concludes that the complete integration of the system of professional education in Ukraine into the global one may promote intellectual communication and help to develop the economic sector of the country.
