Key concepts of the problem of health preserving competence formation in the future biology teacher.

Abstract

The article describes key concepts of the problem of health preserving competence formation in the future biology teacher: health, healthy lifestyles, health culture, health preservation, health preserving competence. It is proved that the definition of "health" can be divided into three groups: normocentric, adaptive, axiocentric. Expand the relationship of the concepts of "health" lifestyle and a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is seen as a determining factor in health. It is shown that disclosure of the concept of "healthy lifestyle" is carried out in three main areas: philosophical and sociological, medical, biological, psychological and pedagogical. It is proved that the level of person’s cultural health depends on preservation and reproduction of his/her own health. Based on the analysis of relevant concepts, the key terms such as "health preserving competence", "formation of health preserving competence in the future teachers of biology" are explained. It was established that the term "health preservation" and category "health preserving competence" are often used by scientists. It was shown that today there is a need for the formation of health preserving competence in the future biology teachers, but the question facing many of thorough theoretical and practical aspects of the problem actualizes further investigation.
