Formation of students’ moral and spiritual values in the choral ensembleat higher education institutions.

Abstract

Formation of moral and spiritual values is favoured by combining teaching with folk art, attracting students to the study and dissemination of Ukrainian folk songs through various forms of creative activities. The study represents an objective picture of increasing the levels of moral and spiritual values development while using Ukrainian folk songs in the choral ensemble. The best means to form students’ moral and spiritual values on the basis of the Ukrainian folk songs in the choral ensemble is a system of educational and creative activities that is developed and implemented into the university work.Its main components are the study of Ukrainian folk songs in the choir classes; conducting educational events; creative and performing activity of the choral ensemble aiming at promoting Ukrainian folksongs.
