Young people in the sphere of local media in Poland and the CzechRepublic based on a scientific study.
Abstract
The article is aimed to investigate interests on the local media among young people aged 20 – 26 in Poland and the CzechRepublic. It was intended to get information about the quality of participation in reception of the content found in local media. Young people grow up and commune with widespread media having access to the Internet, social networking sites while being an observer and consumer of the global phenomena. The author takes a vivid interest in perceiving of the local media and the need for its functioning seen by young generation. The survey was carried out twice during the author’s scientific training period on 19th – 23rd May, 2014 and 22nd – 27th September, 2014. Moreover, randomly chosen and willing to be questioned group of 14 students were following interviewed. There were in total 152 respondents who were examined. A similar study was conducted in Poland based on a group of 364 young people at the University of Humanities and Sciences in Siedlce at the Department of Humanities.
