Education in multicultural classrooms (case study: some primary schools in the county of Bielsk).

Abstract

The aim of this paper was to draw attention to the problem of education of children of different nationalities who come with their parents to Poland. The law requires that all children who are staying in Poland should  attend school. At school children learn the Polish language, they learn to make first relationships, overcome barriers, prejudices and phobias. The research in selected primary schools in the county of Bielsk allowed to get acquainted with the difficulties that teachers overcome every day, working in intercultural classes. The authors of the paper concentrate on a variety of tasks which school is to cope with in connection with school education of children of different nationalities.
