Institutionalization of the cultural and educational activities of the Jesuit Order in the early Ukrainian Society: conceptual accents of historical and pedagogical phenomenology.
Abstract
The integration of the Jesuit order into the Ukrainian lands in the late 16th century played an essential role in the spiritual, cultural, social, religious and intellectual-educational life of the Russian-Ukrainian society. The author focuses on pedagogical activity of Jesuit teachers as an integral, unique, special and original phenomenon of the early modern history of Ukrainian lands. The institutionalization of the pedagogical phenomenon of cultural and educational activities of the Jesuits is considered in the categories of space, time and development, the factors of its manifestation are analyzed, attention is drawn to the problems, contradictions and religious-mental conflicts whose appearance in the Orthodox environment was caused by the Catholic intentionality of Jesuit educational initiatives. The author substantiates the idea that Jesuit's pedagogical initiative enriched the national educational and educational tradition with the prestige of the European model of humanistic education, contributed to the reform of the then educational and cultural space, created conditions for the interaction of Western European and Eastern Slavic spiritual and pedagogical traditions.Downloads
