Analysis of the modern status of software engineers professional training in Ukraine.

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of modern conditions of higher professional IT-education in Ukraine. Resent researches show that an important issue is the dissonance between its quality and content, demands at the labour market and students' requests. So IT-education in Ukrainian universities should be improved. The author notes that the problem solution is possible on the basis of systematic monitoring in the sphere of IT-education in Ukraine. The article provides the results of surveys carried out among employers, students and university graduates of IT-specialties. The detailed analysis of the obtained data is provided. The author identifies the most important competences and personal characteristics of a software engineer. The analysis done makes it possible to define the factors improving the quality of future software engineers professional training.
