Forming project competence of future specialists in information, library and archival services.

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of forming the project competence of future specialists in the information and library sphere as one of the important components of their professional competence. The key concepts of the problem are considered: "competence", "professional competence", "project competence". There were considered the main provisions of the competence-oriented approach, the issue of improving the national information and library education, professional competences of specialists in the information and library sphere, necessary for the qualitative implementation of modern users' requirements. The necessity of further scientific research of the problem dealing with modernization of the contents of information and library education in accordance with the requirements of modern social practice is outlined.
