Abstract

In the article the current state of the development of the problem of professional training of future software engineers in the process of studying object-oriented programming is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the research of domestic scientists who investigates the features of the organization of training of future software engineers, as well as the works of specialists in the field of computer science, which highlight the fundamental concepts of the OOP. The concepts “OOP methodology”, “OOP paradigm”, “OOP technology”, “competence of a future software engineer in OOP” are clarified, and problems in the field of professional training of future software engineers that need to be addressed are outlined.
