General theoretical bases of school literary education in the pedagogical heritage of O. R. Mazurkevych.

Abstract

In the article the basic conceptual principles of literary education of schoolchildren, developed by the Ukrainian scientist and educator, literary critic, researcher of the works and educational views of prominent scholars and writers, critic, journalist, the actual member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of USSR and Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine O.R. Mazurkevych are revealed. His solution of methodological problems of school literary education, the tasks of complex training and education of schoolchildren are grounded. The possibility to use the scholar’s pedagogical ideas in the practice of modern schools, including the creation of textbooks in literature is highlighted.
