Features of the perception of adjectives by Arab students in the process of learning Russian as a foreign language

Abstract

The article describes the features of acquisition of the adjective as part of speech in Russian by Arab students. Full, short, and complex adjectives in the Russian language, their phonetic and grammatical features, and spelling are described. The features of the allocation of parts of speech in the Arabic language are also given. It is noted that in the Arabic language there are only three parts of speech (noun, verb and particles). Therefore, the adjective in Arabic does not stand out as an independent part of speech. The peculirities of the functioning of the adjective in the Arabic language are described. The syntactic, phonetic and morphological features of the adjective in Russian and Arabic are compared and analyzed. Recommendations are given for improving the acquisition and study of Russian adjectives by Arab students. Possible ways to reduce mistakes in writing and pronunciation of adjectives by Arab students are given in the article.
