Abstract

The subject matter of this article is a description of the tasks for studying the possibilities of modern information systems. These tasks are for students who acquire IT skills and study the profession of an informatics teacher at universities. It is advisable to study the possibilities of various online information systems throughout the entire training course or during a separate educational component (unit/module) in another academic discipline. Each theme of the laboratory work should be associated with a certain area of information systems use. It is desirable to study with the students the information systems used in the field of education. For future informatics teachers it is imperative. Several lessons need to be devoted to the study of the possibilities of popular geographic information systems and cartographic services that are useful in tourism. For example, central booking systems for obtaining information and conducting operations related to rail transport, air travel, hotels, or other activities. Vehicle tracking systems are also very popular and useful for travelers. Students should be able to work with such systems. Finally, it is worthwhile to familiarize students with the peculiarities of the functioning of the end-to-end systems, which are expert systems based on artificial neural networks, on an example of applications created by Google that are AI based as part of a project known as «A.I. Experiments». For each lesson, the lecturer has to create interesting tasks through which students will acquire the necessary skills to work with relevant information systems.
