«Authorial school» in the system of extracurricular education as an opportunity to implement the idea of innovation
Abstract
Today, extracurricular education institutions need fundamental changes in order to have the opportunity to develop the talents of every child. Pupils of extracurricular educational institutions have such opportunities in experimental schools, which are gaining popularity in different countries of the world thanks to innovative approaches. The article emphasizes that the «authorial school» is an opportunity to implement the idea of innovation. It is proved that the authorial school contributes to the expansion of the socio-pedagogical function of the extracurricular education institution. At the same time, pedagogical goals become more tangible and are no longer expressed in the desire to make a child a dancer, aircraft model manufacturer, go-kart driver, computer user, wood carver or vocalist, but a developed personality.The article reveals the interpretation of the authorial educational institution. It is a set of the following components: the presence of the author, the leader of the teaching staff; the concept of «school» formulated by the author; exploratory nature of the activity, the implementation of the experiment; synthesis of worldview concept and innovative technologies; creative nature of life; involvement of teachers, students of extracurricular education and parents in the process of implementing the author's concept; stability of results.The study pays attention not only to the management of institutions of additional education, but also to the study of the possibilities of introducing authorial schools, which should have autonomy in management. Thus, the issue of authorial schools, the introduction of broad autonomy in extracurricular education institutions is important. The author of the article raises the issue of conducting experimental work in institutions of additional education, focuses on the importance of quality services for children and youth, emphasizes the need for active cooperation of administrative representatives with wide layers of society.
