Interaction of cultures in the theory of cross-cultural communication and practice of teaching foreign languages

Abstract

The article highlights the technologies for the formation of intercultural communicative competence, which create the basis for the professional selfrealization of future translators and teachers of English language. Among modern technologies for the formation of foreign language intercultural communicative competence, the most effective are podcast technology, case study and training technologies. The process of formation of the Englishspeaking intercultural competence of applicants for higher education in the humanities and its practical implementation in the classroom is considered. It has been proved that the formation of Englishspeaking intercultural competence is possible only under the condition of interaction of basic structures filled with cultural-specific and general cultural content. The practical implementation of conducting intercultural educational trainings, which are an alternative to the usual training lessons, has been submitted. It has been proved that only complexity, activity, systematics and reliance on realism contribute to the formation of English-speaking speech activity, knowledge of a foreign language culture and the mastery of intercultural competence.
