Upbringing of high school students` respectful attitude towards parents as a pedagogical problem

Abstract

The research is devoted to the issue of upbringing of high school students` respectful attitude towards parents. The issue of family and family education of high school students, the relationship between high school students and parents, the importance of respectful attitude of high school students towards parents is considered in the article. The importance of activity approach for upbringing of respectful attitude towards parents is investigated. The complex of pedagogical conditions which provide efficiency of upbringing of respectful attitude to parents is allocated. Attention is focused on one of the important conditions of upbringing of high school students` respectful attitude towards parents – it supports an activity approach in the upbringing process. One of the founders of activity-based approach A. Leont'ev, defined upbringing as the transformation of knowledge about values in real models of behavior, as a process of transformation of values through activity, which exist in culture. The article stresses that the specificity of modern education in an educational institution is the fact that the family and the school have lost their monopoly in the upbringing and socialization of the younger generation. Media, the Internet, television, public organizations, youth communities have strong influence on schoolchildren, their parents and teachers. A person is included in various types of social, informational, communicative activities, the content of which is not always useful and often carries contradictory ideological attitudes. Taking this into account, the activity approach assumes coordinated activity of upbringing and socialization subjects with the leading role of the general educational organization in it. It is noted that Ukrainian literature is an important mean and method of educational influence on high school students in forming a respectful attitude towards parents.
