Abstract

The article discusses theoretical approaches to the study of the issue of socio-cultural development of preschool children. The main criteria and mechanisms of the socio-cultural development of preschoolers are determined, its indicators are characterized. The author dwells in detail on the study of the pedagogical conditions for the effective socio-cultural development of preschoolers, shows the role of the family and family traditions as the most important social institution of personality development. The primary role in the educational process is assigned to the adult (teacher, parent) as the leading factor in the socio-cultural development of children. The problems of socio-cultural values and the relevance of the social and personal development of preschoolers in modern conditions are analyzed in connection with the specifics of the child's social environment, in which there is often a deficit of good manners, kindness, tolerance, speech culture in human relationships.
