Art therapy as a means of educational work in education
Abstract
The article reveals the essence, tasks, and functional capabilities of art therapy, elucidates the specifics of its use in the conditions of modern educational institutions of Ukraine. In modern society, interest in art therapy as a method of healing through creativity is growing. Art therapy sessions have a significant impact on the development of social communication skills and positive social and psychological traits of a person. Now we use new methods of value education of children and youth, turn to innovative educational and developmental technologies that are formed on the border of various scientific fields. The issue of finding new ways to improve the quality of education at the time of the democratization of education is discussed. Special attention is paid to the development of new educational technologies. In the education of the personality, the main thing in behavior is compliance with social norms. Much attention is paid to personally oriented education, that is, it is necessary to encourage the child to self-discovery and self-activity. The role and pedagogical conditions of the use of art therapy technologies in the teacher's work with the aim of creating a comfortable environment for the formation of a comprehensively developed personality are substantiated. It was determined that the pedagogical direction of art therapy is designed for a potentially healthy personality, connected with strengthening the child's physical and mental health. It is most urgent now to use new, non-standard methods of education of modern youth. It is art therapy that is an adequate methodological basis for solving educational and psychocorrective tasks. Art therapy helps to understand and evaluate one's feelings, memories, images of the future, therefore it is a unique way of communication of a person with himself.
