Choir singing warm-up as a method of improving vocal and technical skills of singers

Abstract

The article contains recommendations for choir singing warm-up,
which were developed on the basis of the program of the educational
component «Choir Conducting», the educational and qualification
level is a bachelor of pedagogical education.
The publication defines the main tasks for the conductor of the choir
in the process of singing a choir, substantiates the essence and
meaning of the concept of «singing a choir», analyzes the specific
features of the singing of choral groups, investigates the
methodological aspects of staging the voice apparatus of choir
members, reveals ways of improving vocal and choral skills in the
context of species, roles and significance of singing in a choir.
The article analyzes the specific features of choral group singing,

professional choir. The regularity of the artistic and performance
criteria is revealed, provided that there is a sufficient level of vocal and

monolithic musical instrument capable of performing
extremely complex technical and artistic tasks.
Possession of vocal and technical skills, regardless of the quantitative
and qualitative composition of the choir, is a fundamental factor in
achieving a professional level of performance. Branching and
generalization of the specific features of professional choir singing as
a method of setting the vocal apparatus requires proper scientific
analysis and research. Approbation of the above research in the
process of rehearsal work with the choir proves the logic, structure and
relevance of this material.
The recommendations collected in the article will improve the basic
knowledge, abilities and skills of students - future teachers of musical
art in the process of singing in a choral group in order to model the
educational and educational process, musical and aesthetic activity,
as an important means of self-education and self-education of
educators.
