Story-role game as means of development of social intelligence of children of pre-school age
Abstract
The article is devoted to the possibilities of the story-role game in the development
of social intelligence of older preschool children. The authors analyzed theoretical
approaches to defining the concept of «social intelligence». Based on the analysis of
psychological and pedagogical literature, the essence and content of the concepts
«game activity», «social development», «socialization», «developing of social
competence» has been revealed by the authors. The main conditions for the
development of social intelligence in a preschooler are considered, and it is
emphasized that this happens «in parallel» with the development of general
intelligence. The capabilities of story-role games for the development of social
intelligence in the online environment of preschool institutions are shown. The
phenomenon of «play» is understood as the leading activity of a preschool child.
The authors emphasize that the essence of the educational influence of the storyrole game is the acquisition and accumulation of social experience by a child. The
content of the games introduces the child to a wide sphere of moral relations: care,
mutual assistance, responsibility, etc. The levels of development of social
intelligence of elder preschool children. The authors give examples of creating story
role-playing games on special platforms (Classcraft, Learningapps, MineTest). The
effectiveness of the developed complex of story-role games to increase the level of
development of social intelligence in elder preschool children in the online
environment is confirmed
