Formation of spiritual and moral values of students as social and pedagogical problems.

Abstract

In the article some aspects of a social and pedagogical problem of formation of spiritual and moral values of students are considered. The author analyzes the moral component of educational activity, which supposes the presence of moral norms and principles, cultural achievements and social-moral experience. The article reveals the problems of formation of students’ personality value orientations caused by transformation of political and economic systems, by a social and psychological situation in society.

The moral values of personality are determined as one of the methods of the normative regulation of the human actions in all spheres of public life, expression of man’s individual consciousness and actions, which integrate the values of good, justice, debt, conscience and happiness. It is found out that for ensuring learning efficiency and quality of vocational training it is necessary that the organization of pedagogical process and its management should stimulate high levels of the students’ motivational sphere, actualize steady needs for learning, self-organization and moral self-actualization.
