Formation of physics teacher professional competence by establishing interdisciplinary connections with chemistry.
Abstract
The article substantiates the advisability of establishing interdisciplinary connections between physics and chemistry in the preparation of the teacher of physics; it is an important factor in optimizing the learning process. Formation of professional competences is a dominant direction in modernization of higher education; it, therefore, requires substantial processing of scientific and methodical support. The pedagogical literature on the subject of research have been analyzed and it has been determined that the problem of use of interdisciplinary connections with chemistry in teaching physics in higher school has not been considered in details so far. A holistic system of physics teacher’s professional competence formation which is based on the implementation of the principle of interdisciplinary connections with chemistry in higher school has not been developed and proved yet.
