Independent learning in small groups as one of the forms of learning in English-speaking countries institutions of higher education.

Abstract

The article describes the pedagogues’ views of the essence of the students’ independent learning in English-speaking countries. Independent learning in English-speaking countries is understood as search that stimulates the peculiar development of a person in new knowledge and skills acquisition. Independent learning develops the skills to process and analyze information independently and study literary sources that facilitate scientific-research work. The means of fostering students’ independent learning efficient management have been determined. It was ascertained that the most efficient form of students’ independent learning is a small group work.
