Legal basis and principles of teaching foreign languages in the national gymnasium education (early ХIХ century – 1871)
Abstract
The article revelas regulatory basis (statutes, curricula) of foreign languages teaching process in native gymnasium education (early XIX century – 1871). The author highlights the main principles of foreign languages teaching in gymnasia and considers methodical advice and instructions for the teachers of foreign languages. The article analyses the principal aspects passed by the statutes of the academic hours’ distribution on foreign languages learning. The author describes legally confirmed key issues for the foreign language teachers and the main tendencies in the system of foreign languages teaching process organization in gymnasium education in the given period.Downloads
