Theoretical and methodological principles of optimization of the process of tolerance formation in high school students.

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the
concept of “tolerance” in the context of
modern psychological and pedagogical
science. The necessity of interpreting
tolerance as one of the leading components
of the system of spiritual values of the
personality is grounded. The emphasis is on
the importance of constructing the spiritually
oriented content of the education of the high
school, the creation of an educational
environment in the classroom that activates
the school’s internalization of spiritual
values, the pedagogical support of students
in spiritual self-determination, the
manifestation of spiritual values in the
educational process and everyday life. The
main factors of formation of tolerance in the
high school age are determined. A number
of pedagogical conditions, forms of
organization and methods of education are
proposed. They are intended to promote the
process of spiritual development and the
formation of tolerance in the conditions of
high school.
