Training in activation of the professional development of teachers who work in professional (vocational) educational institutions.

Abstract

In this article the author focuses on the problem of the
professional development of teachers of professional
(vocational) educational institutions. It is stated that today’s
educational reforms around the world determine the key tasks
of raising the level of professional and pedagogical
competence of pedagogical staff and creating conditions for
their continuous professional development. It is noted that the
training is one of the effective forms of teachers’ professional
development, since it is aimed at stimulating the internal
activity of the teacher’s personality, strengthening motivation
for self-development, self-improvement and self-realization,
expansion of his vocational and pedagogical profile by
acquiring new competences taking into account individual
educational needs that promotes the building an individual
trajectory of professional development. The methodical
foundations of organization and conducting of training are
highlighted. Principles of training are singled out:
voluntariness, informed participation, activity, equality,
research position, confidentiality. The training on the structure
is emphasized as a multicomponent process. The structure of
the training session, which consists of such parts as the ritual
of greetings, warm-up, main content of the occupation,
reflection and farewell ritual, is given. The author’s training is
provided, which was introduced at teacher training courses
and training seminars at the regional level for methodologists
which work at professional (vocational) educational
institutions. The program of the author’s training, which
includes some exercises: “Past-Present-Future”, “20
Desires”, “4 Spheres”, “Trajectory of Professional
Development”, “Distribution of Time”, “Letter to Oneself in
2025”, “Planning”, “Completing sentences”. It was stated that
the training is an effective form of activation of the professional
development of teachers who work in professional
(vocational) educational institutions, aimed at stimulating the
internal activity of the teacher’s personality, strengthening his
motivation to expand the vocational-pedagogical profile by
acquiring new competencies taking into account the individual
teacher’s educational needs, building an individual trajectory
of professional development.
