Abstract
The features of professional knowledge
control and the assessment methodology
of the preparation level of foreign students
studying engineering disciplines are
considered. The control system is based
on the principles of professional
orientation, objectivity, systematicity and
effective organization. The alternative
rating system of students’ assessment
allows to define the level of knowledge
and qualification training of students more
fully and more specifically. The approach
to different methods of students’
knowledge assessment will allow to define
productive sides of each method. At each
stage of foreign students’ training, their
progress is influenced by another
important criterion, namely the conditions
of social adaptation in the new
environment.
