The image of man in philosophical and anthropological conceptions of ХХ century.

Abstract

The author analyzes the image of man and understanding of his nature, inner world in philosophical and anthropological conceptions that developed in the XX century. Defining the essence of man, the author argues that philosophical anthropology sees the image of man as the rational-cognitive being, where rationality occupies a very limited space. Of great importance in the philosophical and anthropological conceptions is awareness of relationship and interaction of natural, social and spiritual in human existence. The idea of the human being integrity, launched in philosophical anthropology, has turned out promising and significant.
