Patriotic education of preschool children as a component of the sociocultural context

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of patriotic upbringing of preschool children, which is one of the most relevant today. Approaches to education of national culture in children, which is a contribution to the common human assets of democracy, humanism, conscience, honor, dignity, citizenship, are considered; education of children based on the historical past, which forms a patriotic experience in them is discussed. The essence of the modern process of patriotic education and the formation of the patriotic experience of the younger generation is characterized, and attention is focused on the fact that the present, which is defined by war, leads to a qualitatively new level of perception and understanding of patriotic education as a pedagogical and social phenomenon. The need for the formation of a social idea among the younger generation, which in the future will prevent the presence of doubts regarding the issues of independence, sovereignty, integrity and stability of the national position of a free Ukrainian, is considered. It was determined that the patriotic experience is formed under the influence of the child's environment, has a positive effect on the formation of the national personality type and forms the civic position of the Ukrainian preschooler.
