Determination of the criteria for the successful integration of refugee children of early and preschool age from Ukraine in Germany (according to the results of the online survey of parents of children of the specified categories)
Abstract
The work presents the part of the work on qualitative data analysis and cooperation with institutions and organizations in Germany, which made it possible to accumulate ideas about the work experience of teachers, representatives of public organizations, associations, groups and structures with the specified category of children. The total number of participants in the research project "Integration and development of human values of refugee children from Ukraine in Germany through the means of culture" (Results of the research project within the framework of the implementation of the Hamburg program for scientists who are in dangerous living conditions, Science Bridge for Ukraine (duration 01.12.22 – 30.09.23) – more than 1,000 people, including representatives of organizations, associations, institutions (teachers, psychologists, social workers, managers, department heads, volunteers, etc.), children-refugees from Ukraine, their parents. The total number of participants in the online survey (as an additional study of Ukrainian refugees, including parents of early and preschool children from Ukraine) is 260 refugees from Ukraine who are currently in Germany. We focus on the practical experience of the EU countries that faced this social challenge – a large number of Ukrainian refugees, their psychological health, morale, crisis of life, etc. The analysis of the activity and the discussion of the problematic issue made it possible to comprehensively consider the existing developments in education, social and cultural offers for vulnerable population groups affected by conflicts and wars.
