Information and communication technologies for teaching people with disabilities by means of free software.

Abstract

Modern information technologies when used in educational activities provide necessary training effect towards individualization of learning, which is essential for the education of people with disabilities. The integration of such people in the modern world of information will not only solve the problem of communication blockade for this category of population, but will provide an opportunity to find work environment, creative circle and so on. The search of easy-to-use software, its accessibility and adaptability for people with disabilities leads to consideration of free software. Therefore, there arises a question of the possibility to use free software in educational activities of people with disabilities and their adaptation to the characteristics of these people.
