Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to draw attention to the preferred forms of popularization and teaching of English in primary schools. As language competences of children are now considered to be of crucial importance, the chosen research problem focuses on getting to know the forms and methods of teaching English used in schools, encouraging children to learn the language by its popularization, and identifying the learning difficulties. The theoretical part of the article describes the changes which took place in Poland after joining the European Union, especially in the socio-cultural and educational field. The empirical section of the article, in turn, presents the results of the research conducted in selected primary schools situated in Biała Podlaska. The research conclusions presented in the paper reflect the needs of pupils to learn English in a more effective way.Downloads
