Selection of massive open online courses for use in the preparation of bachelors of computer science.
Abstract
The article presents the analysis of existing massive open online courses (MOOC), which are expedient to use in the preparation of bachelors of computer science. The criteria and corresponding indicators of selection of such massive open online courses are developed: informative and didactic (creation of own courses, available courses of courses, coverage of subjects of various subjects, coverage of disciplines, tasks, courses of world universities); functional (multilingual, user registration, one account - several courses). The results of the expert assessment of MOOC on the developed criteria and indicators are given. The experts were involved twice. At the first stage – to determine the most significant massive open online courses for use in the preparation of bachelors of computer science. Experts were deans of faculties, heads and teachers of departments of domestic higher education institutions, associated with the preparation of bachelors of computer science. At the second stage, another group of experts was involved in selecting the most significant massive open online courses according to the relevant criteria and indicators. For this purpose, the manifestation of each of the identified criteria for each of the named massive open online courses was tested. The results of expert evaluation of massive open online courses based on developed criteria and indicators are given. It has been established that Udemy is the most convenient tool among massive open online courses in preparation of bachelors of informatics in respect of all the criteria.
