Culture vs multiculturalism in discourses and practices of postmodern.
Abstract
The scientific debates about the notions of culture and cultural differences are accounted for the crisis of the identity of a postmodern-man. The problem of cultural, national and political representation is connected both with the ideas of culturalism, multiculturalism, multinationalism and with the role of universities as a location of high culture production and the influence of mass-media as an announcer of the ideas and ideals of culture in its «pop»-version. At the same time the politically shared «common» is a unified complex of ides, symbols, images in which culture and state are tied in the common discourse of the nation and nationalism.Downloads
