Abstract

This article examines performance the phenomenon of postdramatic theatre that appears as an attempt to emphasize the human individuality, human body in particular. There is an attempt to analyze the philosophy of corporeality, relying on the code of performance. The content of the concepts performance, postdramatic theatre, biopower is revealed. It is proposed to study performance as the code of philosophy of corporeality that is actively implemented all around the world.

One of the first to initiate this process was the German dancer Pina Bausch. The carnality in her performances is fascinating, but she studies the movement of human emotions, looks for the emotions of the movement itself, becoming a conductor between the viewer and his actors.

Using the principle of synthesis of arts in a performance, artists of theatrical performance, whose centre is the actor's body, seek to "turn the body" to a person. Above all, Marina Abramovich, a world-famous expert, is a Serbian performer. She built the Institute of Performance and explores the relationship between the artist and the audience, the limits of the body and the possibilities of the mind.

Given the above, we arrive at the following conclusions. In art, it is necessary to observe the transformation of the paradigms of understanding human corporeality in particular. In different epochs, their view of human corporeality was formed. Of particular importance is corporeality in the twenty-first century. The question of how the version of a modernist version is transformed is actualized in contemporary philosophical concepts. The theatre, along with philosophy, acutely feels the time and responds to it, in its own way experiencing changes in the form and means of expressiveness.

The philosophy of corporeality has implemented itself in new codes, among which is the code of performance. This phenomenon of the postdramatic theatre emerged as an attempt to focus on the human body.

Key words: philosophical code, corporeality, performance, postdramatic theatre.
