Life plans of future students: the European dimension and domestic realities
Abstract
The paper is devoted to problems of life strategies of students in Russia and in the European Union in the context of the global economic crisis. The author analyzes the reform of Russian system of education, its results and factors determining the tendencies of its contemporary state and development of the social institute of higher education. It is pointed out that students’ sociological research works help to distinguish major problems of higher education, prospects for university graduates, and dynamics of their further employment. The author gives a comparative analysis of the problem of graduates’ employment in the European countries and Russia, and also students’ immigration potential.
