ENG PROBLEMS AND WAYS OF IMPLEMENTING DISTANCE LEARNING ON THE TOPIC "SKETCHES AND WORKING DRAWINGS OF PARTS": METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES AND CHALLENGES OF ENGINEERING GRAPHICS
Abstract
The article presents the results of observations of the process of studying the topic "Sketches and Working Drawings of Parts" within the technical drawing course in the context of distance learning. Modern information and computer technologies provide the possibility of implementing the remote format, but studying engineering graphics, which has a specific visual-spatial nature, is accompanied by a number of challenges.
A key factor in the development of spatial thinking is the ability to recreate visual perception of a geometric object on a plane and, conversely, to imagine an object from its flat representation. The formation of such skills begins with drawing objects from life, which then transitions into creating sketches and working drawings of typical parts.
For students who have no prior graphic preparation or demonstrate a low level of spatial imagination, working with real objects is the most effective way to master the material. In the context of shortened curricula and distance learning, the volume of independent work increases, which raises higher demands for its organization and methodological support.
The continuous improvement of the educational process is driven by the need to develop new methodological approaches using digital technologies. Mastering technical drawing as the foundation of engineering language is impossible without practical training. To this end, effective models of learning tasks on the topic "Sketches and Working Drawings of Parts" have been developed, which contribute to the formation of the necessary competencies. However, the results of observations indicate that distance learning cannot fully replace traditional work with real objects, which requires further development of the methodological framework.
The article also provides examples of typical parts chosen for study and task schemes for creating their working drawings.
