Educational system of a boarding school as an educational phenomenon.

Abstract

The paper deals with the essence and structural and functional characteristics of an educational system of a boarding school as an educational phenomenon. With the help of definitive analysis it is ascertained that the notion of an educational system is seen, first, as a macrolevel structure, which ensures realization of educational tasks of the district educational institutions, and second, as a microlevel structure, which defines the institutional educational factors under the conditions of an educational institution.  Analysis of the contensive aspects of educational systems has shown that they contain in different proportions general scientific approaches: systemic, activity-related, problem-related, personality-oriented, synergetic and competence-oriented. The main components of the educational system of a boarding-school are believed to be the educational goal, tasks and activity subjects; relationships that are formed in the process of activities carried out by subjects; the system environments and its management. The stages of educational system evolution are defined (designing, development, stabilization, formation and renovation), which, when following a certain pattern, precondition the high rate of dynamics of the system, its ability to stand up to the challenges of the modern society, to realize the innovational educational paradigm of open systems, and meet the child’s need for self-development, self-improvement and formation of a culture of fully realized creative life. In the context of a new paradigm of open educational systems, a tendency of defining top-priority tasks of open educational space is detected.
