The concept of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils with special educational needs in the modern professional pedagogical discourse.

Abstract

The concept of pedagogical rehabilitation of students with special educational needs in the modern professional pedagogical discourse is given an in-depth consideration. The relevant features of the modern interpretation of the pedagogical rehabilitation of students with special educational needs are examined, among them its early start, orientation on forming of competences, perpetuity and continuity, acmeological character and joint realization with other kinds of rehabilitation. The author explains the scientific approaches towards defining the goal and tasks of pedagogical rehabilitation, the main of which are optimization of educational route of child, its inclusion into the joint educational environment, formation of mechanisms of life competence development in all life activities (health, daily life, communication, education, creative activities, labour, leisure etc.), prevention of an outsider and a failure status gaining, actualization of its unique personal potential, talent and capacities, establishment of effective collaboration with the family, modeling of individual educational programmes of synthetic character for children with special educational needs. It is ascertained that the main functions of pedagogic rehabilitation are deemed to be extraction, retention and stimulation, the principal directions are overcoming of sensory deprivation, development of communicational skills, psychosomatic education, moral-ethical education, developmental education and pragmatization of educational process.
