Academic integrity and publication ethics policy

The editorial board of the journal operates on the principles of academic integrity, transparency and responsibility to the scientific community. In its work, the editorial board is driven by international standards of publication ethics, recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as principles applied by leading scientometric databases.

Adherence to the norms of publishing ethics is mandatory for authors, reviewers, editors, and other persons involved in the preparation and publication of scientific materials.

The editorial board constantly monitors compliance with the norms of academic integrity. In case of violations, appropriate measures are taken, ranging from requesting revisions to refusing publication or retracting the article.

Confidentiality principle

All materials submitted to the journal are considered confidential. Information about the content of the manuscript shall not be disclosed to third parties, except for authors, reviewers, potential experts, and the publisher. Reviewing is carried out in accordance with the principle of anonymity.

Conflict of interest and copyright

Editors and members of the editorial board are not entitled to use unpublished materials in their own research without the written consent of the authors.

All participants in the publication process are required to report any potential conflicts of interest. In the event of copyright or other ethical violations after publication, the editorial board shall ensure that corrections, clarifications or retractions are published in accordance with established procedures.

The editorial board welcomes suggestions for improving editorial policy and enhancing the quality of the publication.

Reviewers' responsibilities

Participation in editorial decisions

The reviewers' expert conclusions are advisory in nature and are taken into account when making editorial decisions. Reviews are aimed not only at evaluating the manuscript, but also at assisting the author(s) in improving their research.

Reviewers are required to:

  • evaluate the scientific originality of the work;
  • identify possible textual borrowings or self-plagiarism;
  • pay attention to the correctness of quotations and formatting of sources.

The editorial board periodically reviews the review procedures with a view to improving them.

Confidentiality in the work of a reviewer

The materials received for evaluation cannot be used for personal scientific interests or transferred to third parties. Any ideas or results that the reviewer has become familiar with must remain confidential.

Objectivity and professional standards

Reviews should be objective, well-reasoned, and completed within the specified time frame. Comments should be clear, constructive, and aimed at improving the quality of the work.

Experts with appropriate scientific qualifications and relevant research experience are involved in the evaluation process. Materials submitted by members of the editorial board are also subject to independent review on the same basis.

Verification of sources

Reviewers should pay attention to the presence of appropriate references to the sources used. If it is established that certain results have already been published earlier, the relevant publications must be indicated. If significant similarities with other works are found, the reviewer informs the editor.

Authors' responsibilities

Presentation of research results

Authors shall submit only original scientific materials to the editorial office. Research data must be presented accurately, without falsification or distortion of results. The article should be structured and contain a sufficient number of relevant sources.

False statements or manipulation of data are considered violations of academic integrity.

Data availability

If necessary, the editorial board may ask the author(s) to provide the original research data for verification or archival storage for a specified period after publication.

Originality and plagiarism prevention

The author(s) guarantee(s) the independence of the manuscript preparation. All borrowings must be properly formatted with references to sources. If errors are found after publication, the author(s) are obliged to promptly notify the editorial board and assist in making corrections.

The editorial board supports open scientific dialogue and considers reasonable comments on published materials, giving the author(s) the opportunity to respond.

No duplicate publications

Submitting the same manuscript to several publications simultaneously or republishing materials that have already been published is a violation of ethical standards. Authors should not duplicate the results of one study in different publications without proper justification and references.

Authorship

Only persons who have made a significant contribution to the concept, conduct of the research, analysis of the results, or preparation of the text may be co-authors. The author responsible for correspondence with the editorial office confirms that all co-authors are familiar with the final version of the article and have agreed to its publication.
