Provision of social services to families who find themselves in difficult life circumstances

Abstract

The article investigates the problem of organizing social support. The structure is examined, and the algorithm for identifying such families is revealed. A social worker requires interagency cooperation, forming a team in each individual case from representatives of various executive authorities, local self-government, and the public to address the client's key issues. The need has arisen to form and implement new approaches to social support. The theoretical and practical significance lies in the fact that the levels of solving social problems of families have been identified and recommendations for organizing social support for families have been provided. In the future, it is necessary to form and ensure the implementation of a new comprehensive concept for reforming the public administration system in the field of social protection of the population of Ukraine and child protection. Social accompaniment is the cornerstone of social assistance in Ukraine, providing essential support to families facing challenges. However, the lack of clear and specific regulations hampers effective collaboration between the government and civil society, hindering access to services for vulnerable families. The government's data portal highlights the need for improvements in the system, as evidenced by the statistics on “eDopomoga” usage. Involvement of public organizations and volunteers expands the possibilities of social services and allows providing more complex services. In 2022, the government reduced unemployment benefits to stimulate job hunting. Employment centers provide such assistance and contribute to increasing the level of employed persons in Ukraine, providing a chance to receive a higher education with a voucher. In this way, the employment center can become a key point of support for families who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, offering them support that leads to the restoration of their economic stability and confidence in the future. This not only helps individual families to overcome difficulties, but also contributes to the general increase in the well-being and sustainability of society.
