The development of the Ukrainian national and cultural identity of children of senior preschool age as a factor of their social and civil competence

Abstract

In the scientific article the author examines the development of the Ukrainian national and cultural identity of senior preschool children as an important factor in the formation of their social and civic competence. Current educational programs for preschoolers, including basic and partial programs aimed at the formation of national consciousness, patriotism and respect for the cultural values of Ukraine, are studied. A special attention is paid to the use of modern technologies in the education process, such as interactive educational platforms, digital resources and multimedia tools, which contribute to the deepening of children's knowledge of Ukrainian culture, traditions and history. Pedagogical strategies that combine traditional approaches with innovative technologies are highlighted, which allow more effective education of national identity and contribute to the formation of active citizenship of children. It has been scientifically proven that the development of national and cultural identity through educational programs and technologies is an important prerequisite for the successful socialization of senior preschool children and their involvement in the public life of the country. The main legislative documents of Ukraine, which pay attention to the process of development and formation of national and cultural identity in senior preschool children as a factor in their social and civic competence, were reviewed and analyzed.
