Abstract
The article focuses on an exploration of the concept of “personal effectiveness”, which is currently becoming an increasingly relevant construct in modern scientific discourse. A systematic content analysis of the concept of “personal effectiveness” has been conducted within the scope of the study. This analysis has revealed a variety of approaches to defining the concept, which have been articulated and elaborated upon within the framework of contemporary scientific reflections by both Ukrainian and international researchers. These interpretations encompass a broad spectrum of academic perspectives and methodological orientations. Among these, the study identifies including general-scientific (system-cybernetic, interdisciplinary), specific-scientific (psychological, psychophysiological), and structural-operational (subject-based, competency-based, personality-activitybased) approaches. Among the numerous theoretical foundations that underpin the study of personal effectiveness, particular and focused attention is devoted to the influential concept of self-efficacy, as formulated by prominent psychologist A. Bandura in 1997. The article demonstrates that the application of the cognitive method of conceptualization allows the disclosure of the multi-layered and complex nature of the following concept. Moreover, this method highlights the existence of synonymic expressions, which are considered significant conceptual features and indicators of its interpretative diversity.
