Abstract

The article presents the results of an experimental study aimed at assessing the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the quality of preparation and delivery of mathematics lessons. The study was conducted based on two parallel eighth-grade classes in one school, where one group was taught using traditional methods, and the other group used AI tools such as ChatGPT, GeoGebra, and Khan Academy. The main stages of the experiment included preliminary testing, conducting lessons using different methodologies, and final testing with participant surveys. During the lessons in the control group, traditional teaching methods were used, involving printed materials and standard practices. In the experimental group, materials prepared using AI were used. Students utilized interactive visualizations created in GeoGebra, adaptive exercises from Khan Academy, and individual tasks generated through ChatGPT. The results showed that the use of AI significantly improved students' academic performance, increased their interest and motivation for learning. Students in the experimental group noted that learning with interactive materials became more interesting and understandable for them. Teachers also noted the convenience and effectiveness of using AI technologies in lesson preparation. The use of AI tools significantly reduced the time required to prepare materials and automated the task-checking process. This allowed teachers to focus on analyzing students' results and developing creative tasks. The article includes a comparative analysis of the results of the two groups, subjective assessments of students and teachers, and recommendations for the implementation of AI in the educational process. The authors emphasize the importance of integrating new technologies to improve the quality of education and suggest promising directions for further improvement of AI use in schools. Thus, the results of the study confirmed the effectiveness of using AI in the preparation and delivery of mathematics lessons, which contributes to improving students academic performance, increasing their interest and motivation for learning, and optimizing teachers work.
