Dictation as one of the steps on the way of eliminating difficulties in learning the Ukranian language.

Abstract

The article examines the ways of students’
mastering written verbal literacy, as well
as ways of eliminating difficulties during
the study of the Ukrainian language
through the prism of dictations, since
dictation is a generalization of spelling and
punctuation rules that accustoms students
to constant language training - attention,
speech, perception are activated as an
integral part in the mastery of linguistic
material. Dictation, both traditional and
non-traditional, is an organic mix of
thinking and learning activity. Since one of
the main directions of the competence of
students is the development of written
literacy, it is dictation that is the method of
organizing the educational activity of
pupils in the classroom during which the
mastery of written speech and the
improvement of language literacy are
carried out.
