Freedom as meta-principle of open education.
Abstract
The publication provides the scrutiny of the phenomenon of freedom as meta-principle of open education. It has been demonstrated that the distinctive feature of the information society is open education, the attributive characteristic of which is connected with the idea and phenomenon of freedom. The author carries out the historical and genetic analysis in order to evaluate the issue of freedom, to reveal the origin and genesis of this phenomenon. The paper highlights the role and significance of freedom in the context of establishment of the open society of knowledge.
