The reflective technologies in the formation of the artistic orientations of art specialties students

Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of the artistic orientations formation as an important component of the professional training of students of art specialties and identifies the pedagogical potential and significance of the reflective technologies in this process. The essence of the artistic orientations as an integrative characteristic of a personality, reflecting a system of aesthetic values, artistic interests, and worldviews, has been considered. Particular attention has been paid to the role of the reflective component in the structure of the artistic orientations and its importance for students’ awareness of their own artistic experience, values, creative achievements, and professional self-development. The essence and methods of the reflective technologies as well as their possibilities in the formation of the artistic orientations of students of art specialties, in particular pre-service teachers of Musical Art, pre-service teachers of Pictorial Art, and pre-service lecturers of choreographic disciplines have been highlighted and characterised. The conclusions that the artistic orientations formation is an important component of the professional art education, as it ensures the future specialists’ value attitude formation towards art and contributes to the development of their artistic and aesthetic culture, have been drawn. The use of the reflective technologies creates a comprehensive environment for the development of students’ critical thinking, the ability to awareness of their own artistic experience, which contributes to the formation of a stable artistic orientations system, the development of aesthetic culture, and professional competence. The prospects for further research have been outlined, namely: developing and experimentally testing a methodological model for the formation of students’ artistic orientations using innovative reflective technologies; integrating the reflective technologies into the content of art disciplines.
