Theoretical and methodological principles of the formation of digital competence of future lawyers

Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of digital competence in future lawyers, defining its components, structure, and key skills within the context of the digital transformation of legal education. An analysis of contemporary scientific approaches and methodologies for developing digital skills necessary for professional legal practice is conducted. Particular attention is paid to the pedagogical conditions and methodological strategies for integrating digital technologies into the educational process of higher legal education institutions. It has been established that digital competence is an integral part of professional legal training and involves the combination of theoretical knowledge with the practical application of modern digital tools. The role of Legal Tech platforms and VR/AR simulations in the development of practical, analytical, and prognostic skills is emphasised, as well as the importance of comprehensive assessment of digital competencies, taking into account digital ethics, information security, and adaptability to digital transformations in the legal field.
